Order Up! Viand Diner & Bar joins sister locations Viand Cafe and Viand Coffee Shop as another quintessential diner in New York City.
My team and I were tasked to create an identity for a restaurant that carries a long family tradition and reputation for tasty American diner fare and warm service to loyal clientele in New York City. Although new to the dining scene, the restaurant needed to convey a historical element paired with modern sensibilities.
I helped owner Erick Kontogiannis introduce the third restaurant in his family business, collaborating with interior designers to create a warm, inviting retro space with contemporary touches. With sister restaurants Viand Cafe and Viand Coffee Shop filling bellies in Manhattan’s East and West sides for more than forty years, it was vital to convey the quality customers have come to know and expect. A full menu system with light-hearted messaging and illustrations compliment the diner’s laid back vibe.
